I know what areas have the vast majority of homicides which have been discussed on here for the 1,0000th time in regard to Chicago. Thanks to all of these extraordinary indepth analytic researchers. As I said before which everyone already know, it's a few areas that contains the BULK of the homicides. Note that I'm not speaking for every area that receives a homicide. Big difference between Austin & South Shore on the scale of homicides.

South shore had 56 homicides per 100k residents last year. Ok so it’s not the bulk but gosh the places with the bulk may as well be defined among the most crime ridden places to live on planet earth. The amount of area that has unacceptably high homicide rates in Chicago is astounding.

That's per capita not total. Sadly it's not astounding for Chicago case. Especially when it's been ongoing since prohibition era per say.

So two dead in Toronto (including the shooter) and 13 people injured after a mass shooting in Toronto. I have no idea what is going on but it's getting ridiculous over there now. It hurts me even more since I used to live there and I still visit frequently, and seeing this happening in a city I love is heartbreaking.

Has anybody posited a theory that American culture (specifically gun culture) has infiltrated Toronto and become popular there?

Everybody knows America is one of the most dangerous "developed" or "civilized" nations. And everyone knows gun culture is huge here, across racial and socioeconomic divides. Guns are so ingrained in American lore, maybe that influence has started to take hold north of the border?

Some of us have mentioned this but we get called all sorts of nasty names when we do.
