TX and GA are pretty much interchangeable in Safety.
Better Drivers:
1. NC
2. TX
3. GA
4. SC
Once again GA and TX are interchangeable. Both drive ridiculously fast, like to zip in and out of lanes, passing you like you're standing still at 80 MPH. The only difference in TX makes it closer to legal with the higher speed limits. SC... too many people like to cruise in the left lane.
Nicer:
1. TX
2. GA
3. NC
4. SC
TX and GA are pretty much interchangeable here as well. Texans are extremely friendly but Georgia hospitality is fair and strong as well.
Smarter:
1. GA
2. NC
3. TX
4. SC
I'm sorry TX but I have to give this to GA. Atlanta offers alot in terms of academics and education. Texas also has many good institutions but they're a bit scattered and concentrated within localities so to speak.
Open-minded:
1. GA
2. NC
3. TX
4. SC
GA, it's the most progressive out of any of these states.

I would have to disagree with that given the cities involved. Atlanta is certainly progressive for the most past as is Athens and to a lesser degree Savannah. NC has Raleigh-Cary, Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro, Greensboro, Winston Salem, Charlotte, Asheville and Boone.

I agree. I would give NC the nod over GA as for a being slightly more progressive.
UT and GA Tech tied in this list @ 21 but Emory came in lower.
But overall I agree that the Southeast offers better schooling than Texas as a whole.
In the US NEWS ranking Emory#21 and GT #29 are higher but Rice is at #17
Add in the best liberal arts colleges, Spelman and Agnes Scott are way higher as well before and TX collges makes it at #92.In fact GA has 6 liberal arts colleges ranked to TX having 2 ranked much lower.
GA also has more HBCU's and of better quality.
In Public schools GT and UGA rank in the top 20.Only UT-Austin is ranked in top 20 but lower.
In fact when looking at higher education it should be more about the access as well as the quality.
GA has both.
For a big state like TX,its actually lacking in variety and access.

While GA has mountains and coastline........ they don't stack up to the depth that NC has. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Gorges State Park, Dupont State Recreational Forest, the Linville Gorge. The Outer Banks, The Inner Banks, The Crystal Coast, the Southern Coast.
Mountain towns and cities like Asheville, Hendersonville, Highlands, Black Mountain, Boone, Blowing Rock, Bryson City.
In the Piedmont you have under the radar cities like Winston-Salem and Durham....some of the best golf in the country in the Sandhills...
Plenty of great towns along the Inner Banks. ... Elizabeth City, Edenton, Little Washington, New Bern, Bath, Belhaven, Morehead City, Beaufort.... as well as Wilmington, Southport, and Manteo. The Outer Banks are great..
There are wineries and vineyards all over North GA as well. Lots of small mountain towns which is my point. There is nothing in NC that GA doesnt also have. Of course there are some things in both states like certain attractions but geographically there just not much difference.
NC Coastline is more populated and well known I admit but I always am amazed that people dont realize GA has 100 miles of coastline. Part of it is called the Golden ISle of Georgia whic includes areas South of Savannah. Brunswick,Sea Island,,St. Simons, Jekyll Island, and Cumberland National Seashore is a pristine island only accessible by ferry.
Jekyll Island is where the wealthiest families in the country like the Carnegies, and others once owned mini mansions as a summer retreat . The Federal Reserve banking system was actually created there.
In Warm Springs you have the Little White House where FDR died but before he did he would swim in the nearby springs to help his polio. His time there really gave him inspiration fro a lot of his programs to ifet people out of poverty. He loved living there.
Warms Springs isnt even in North Georgia but runs along the Fall Line of Georgia.so it has some nice views and outdoor opoortunities as well as the history of FDR time there
In another part of the state you can see one of the most beautiful unique areas in the South called Okefenofee Swamp. It really is a unique place. Its actiually desinated by the U.N. as a international places of importance https://www.pbs.org/video/georgia-outdoors-okefenokee/
Ive just see more interesting places in GA than NC .
Despite being older than GA,GA has so much more history to show from the NAtive Americans to the African slaves and Revolutionary and Civil War sites.
I just find the combination of all this along with the natural beauty in which I think both are evenly matched make Georgia stand out more. https://www.pbs.org/video/georgia-outdoors-okefenokee/.
Nearby there is also Pine Mountain where Calloway Gardens is
I would have to disagree with that given the cities involved. Atlanta is certainly progressive for the most past as is Athens and to a lesser degree Savannah. NC has Raleigh-Cary, Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro, Greensboro, Winston Salem, Charlotte, Asheville and Boone.
But as a state they still keep passing regressive laws like the "Bathroom" bill that caused a lot of companies and movie filming to stop and move out of teh state.
But as a state they still keep passing regressive laws like the "Bathroom" bill that caused a lot of companies and movie filming to stop and move out of teh state.
The filming moved out of state because funding was stopped at the state level. It’s actually making a comeback currently. Even with the “bathroom bill”, to call GA more progressive is certainly questionable and to be honest a bit funny. Not to say there is a stark difference, or that Georgia isn’t at all progressive. NC is trending about as middle of the road as they come.
