Wonder if the committee will be lenient on allowing a MLS stadium. Sporting KC's field was literally made for the purpose of eventually hosting a world cup game.
No way there's only one East coast city and no way both DC and Baltimore get left out over Orlando and Houston
Most people consider Miami the East Coast, and Orland is just an hour from the coast. But I'm just guessing like everyone else. My picks are based on facilities, cities with MLS teams with strong fan support, and places like Miami with a strong Latin America culture, where the sport is more popular than in the states. Just having fun with it, it really doesn't matter, as long as the games are in the states is a win.
This is a copy from a similar thread a few days ago.
There's 10 spots.
Confirmed -
NYC (only confirmed place as it was announced it will host the Final)
Lock ins
LA
Atlanta
Most likely in
Dallas (AT&T Stadium seems to be popular for officials)
SF
DC/Bmore
Miami
Fighting for the next 3 spots
Houston
Philly
Boston
Seattle
Denver
Orlando
Nashville
Boston and Philly will battle it out between one of those 3. The other 3 will be fought between Seattle, Houston and Denver (one of these 3 will be left out). I'm not sold on Nashville or Orlando (I believe Miami will get Florida's venue choice).
Most likely out
Cincinnatti
Kansas City
I didn't include there because I doubt they will be considered from there.
Seattle is more likely to get in than Dallas or DC/Bmore. It's known to have a rabid soccer fanbase and the Seattle Sounders are the first MLS team to win the Concafaf. The stadium also has plenty of hotels, restaurants, bars, etc. nearby.

MLS has almost nothing to do with the FIFA World Cup selection. FIFA much prefers international soccer fans than MLS fans. The only way FIFA would factor in the MLS fanbase is if for example they had to choose between Seattle and Denver, they might take it into consideration. But it would be an afterthought after many things.
DC and Dallas have a much higher chance of getting in than Seattle.
If you don’t believe, look at other previous international site selections for other major FIFA events in USA.
I'm optimistic for Seattle. We can fill an NFL stadium with soccer fans (did recently for the CONCACAF championship, and get pretty close for regional MLS games). The stadium is walkable to most of greater Downtown, with good transit. We can cluster with Vancouver. Rail and airport infrastructure are getting better by leaps, including international arrivals capacity.
Only thing working against the sounders is lack of Natural Grass.
This is the list from NBC Sports, on their ranking of potential 2026 World Cup Venues
New York/New Jersey
Los Angeles
Miami
Seattle
Atlanta
San Fransico
Dallas
Washington/Baltimore
Boston
Philadelphia
There will also be three cities in Canada and three cities in Mexico, 60 of the 80 games will be in the U.S. The entire tournament from the quarterfinal stage onwards will be played in the U.S. Montreal dropped out.
