but what about that lake right there next to the city? that is awesome. There are also forests right outside of Chicago and a lot more wilderness in Wisconsin and the sand dunes in Indiana.

Seriously tho, Chicago isn't full of ghettos. It's a world class city. Philly pales in comparison.
I'd have to disagree. Philadelphia isn't full of ghettos either.

Lol! Nope Chicago's ghettos are more so then Philly's being a larger city AND Chicago has some of the worst neighborhoods in the country, a well as Philadelphia. All of Chicago is not a paradise, don't fool yourself kid.

its important to note that philly is much smaller therefore much more manageable so people who prefer smaller cities might like it better than chi, even tho it basically offers the same amenities

Philadelphia has a beautiful setting. Verdant, hilly just outside the city (up towards Reading), an hour : fifteen from the Jersey Shore. Chesapeake to the south. Lake Michigan is great, but Philadelphia's natural setting / topography is tough to beat.

Philadelphia--- better location, better weather, more history. Closer to beaches, closer to NYC and DC and Boston...and is part of the Megalopolis that goes from Boston down through DC.

Chicaho is great! beautiful skyline, but it's locations is meh, it's winters are quite brutal.

I'd prefer philly filly.
