Lonestar is terrible. We acknowledge that. But, it's cheap, and the whole "National Beer of Texas" advertising is just that: advertising. It doesn't represent the mindset of the people who live here. To suggest that a sales pitch is representative of an entire group of people, especially when that pitch probably originated in a New York City ad house, is just plain bizarre.
All that said, I'm a cocky SOB, I've got a healthy ego, but not because I'm a Texan. It's because I rock. Being Texan just makes it all that much sweeter.

TEXAS by far! They think they are great but most people are laughing on the inside at them.
Funny, most people do that about DC. Marion Berry! Har dee har har har (on the inside)! Odd you, of all people, were apointed spokesman for the humor tastes of most people. Odd, especially considering you'd laugh at something as inane as where a person was born or chooses to live. Odd, very odd.

The people of New Jersey are no where near egotistical. We are just quick to defend who & what we are as a result of constant NYC provincial conditioning.
Say something bad about the Garden State & expect our wrath. It goes from calm to def con 1 in an instant. Otherwise, I think we are pretty open to others.
