I always got the idea most Texas were putting it on for me as a Yankee. Kinda laughing in their heads about how great Texas was. It's all in good fun most of the time.

Seriously? No New York, or Philly or Chicago?

It's the same thing with me, except it's the northerners who are the ones bothering me about how great it is to be from up there, and I live in the south. You want to see REALLY egotistical people move here to NC and listen to the New Yorkers go ON and ON.

New York and Texas.. But, New York tends to be egotistical while Texans have more pride.

Based on this forum, New York because of NYC

In real life, probably California (especially SF area)

I think New Yorkers and Californians are similar when it comes to pride. I think that's why I get along with Californians so well, lol. We both have similar personalities, but we have respect for one another at the same time, so we aren't really arguing over it.

Texans and Californians have pride; we don't put down other places while bragging about our home. NYers and New Jersey people are the exact opposite.

Texans think we live in best state, but were also open to others opinions. You tell a NYer their hometown sucks, you'd think you insulted their mothers.
That's probably the biggest lie I ever heard lol (I don't care if that comment is two weeks old either lol).

There is nothing similar between California and NY especially regarding pride

Hell no! Texans and Californians are more similar than New Yorkers and Californians.
