So did sandals. And men started dresses too, as in tunics.

Let's try MODERN history.

they only noticed it because thats what they know.

its kinda like music. hip hop. i play you a hip hop song you are like oh cool. then you listen to a station that plays music from the 70's and you're like hey i know that song. then you can start picking out other songs that used that sample. you don't notice it until you have knowledge of it.

in other words, these ppl don't know what to look for so they see what they want to see. they see what they are familiar with and overlook what they don't normally see.

I guess we will. Im just curious to know what you wear that lets every one know that you are from NY because I see plenty of people here from NYC here in Atlanta for school and they are not all that fashionable. You cant tell them from the locals

College kids don't really go out of their way to be fashionable, lol. Especially going to class and lounging around the dorm.

Really? Well at Southern schools like Ole Miss, college kids dress up for almost any event, especially football games. I'm not sure if they dress up for class though.

Our local italian guys, also known as guidos, are dressed and have styles different from most places. And no, we aren't embarrassed by them. They have good fashion sense and the girls here really like them.
