This is the first I have heard about Heard. I must say the number of players leaving in recent years is disconcerting. I know a lot of players are trying to reassure the outside world that everything is great in Pelini's system. But outside perception is what matters in trying to get recruits, and this isn't helping.

Steven M. Sipple: Ex-Husker I-back can relate to Heard's plight : Latest Husker News

Well the defense looks even worse than it did last year, if that's even possible. That freshman RB Newby looks great though. Just need to get some athletes on the other side of the ball.

Agreed. A weak opponent but some nice play on the defensive side of the ball.

It looks like the Huskers came to play today! If this keeps up, it will be a great win for Pelini. It would also be nice to get Armstrong some more game time.

Nebraska sure knows how to lose in spectacular fashion. I'm beginning to agree to with the Fire Bo contingent of the Husker fan base.

You know what, I think South Dakota State has a real shot at beating the Huskers next week. That defense will not stop the SDSU offense.

I don't want to see it happen. Just saying.

Texas fan here. I watched that game and dont be down Husker fans. UCLA is just that good. Yeah there is room for improvement on your defense but at least your not a Texas fan You have a decent qb unlike us at Texas

In the end your gonna be better than Texas O btw at least the new expanded eastside stands looks great!!
