I was just on RMAC's website about a half hour ago and nothing had been posted. Same with the Pueblo Chieftan.

Solid win by the Thunderwolves!

The KCSJ announcers told the coach the same thing in the post game interview. So I think its a good bet.

BTW I'm not sure but I think with today's win Pueblo officially won the RMAC.

A sticky was made to clarify my position on team threads and I'll address it here. Like the pro football sub forum, the college football sub forums have threads which are classified as team threads and are set up for fans of those teams (and in this case school programs) to compare notes on past games, future games, possible bowl bids, injury reports, and other related team business. As this is the only Division II thread going, it's doubtful that this thread will get any traffic from fans of other Div. II clubs, at least for this season. Those fans of rival clubs though are welcome to post so long as the conversation is civil and related to the subject matter.

A little bantering about amongst rival clubs and schools, so long as the TOS isn't kicked to the curb, is ok. Snarky comments and continued off topic posts are not
ok and will be dealt with.

Talking CSU P ranked 2nd in the nation

Its official. The division 2 coaches poll is out and Colorado State University - Pueblo is the second ranked team in the nation.

Congrats Pack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is from the poll:

Losses by eight Top 25 teams this past weekend caused a big shakeup in the AFCA Division II Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. Delta State (Miss.) still holds onto the top spot with 27 first-place votes after a 36-34 win over then-No. 18 West Alabama. Thanks to losses by then-No. 2 Pittsburg State (Kan.) and then-No. 3 Northwest Missouri State, Colorado State-Pueblo moves up to No. 2 this week. The Thunderwolves are 10-0 after a 41-3 victory over Western State (Colo.).

1. Delta State (Miss)
2. Colorado State University - Pueblo

As expected CSU Pueblo has remained the number 1 seed in the 3rd super region.

Here is a link to the poll: Regional Rankings

Talking Home Field Advantage

I found out last weekend that if Pueblo wins the last regular season game, which is at the Thunderbowl, they will host ALL of the playoff games they are in at the Thunderbowl. That means theatrically speaking the only game CSU Pueblo would play away would be the title game in Florance Alabama. That is great news for Pueblo because they are very tough to beat on their home field. In fact in 5 games they have only allowed 16 points and on 2 games held their opponent from scoring.

So it looks like in 2011 the road to Alabama goes directly through Pueblo!

I found out that the final playoff game is broadcast nationally on one of the ESPN stations. I am guessing ESPN 2 since they are the ones who broadcast the title game. So on December 10th two division 2 games will be broadcast nationally, a early game and a late game. How cool would that be if Pueblo made it and ESPN 2 was broadcasting the final playoff game from the Thunderbowl at night?

Can someone post a link to get tickets...and talk about parking and concessions. It would be nice to have a SOLD OUT game.
