For sure. And that’s not to say the Republicans are correct in their methods, but this hands off victim blaming/criminal coddling approach that the Democrats push is clearly not working - and it’s costing good people their safety and, in some cases, their lives.

What infuriates me is the doubletalk they give on issues like this where they are on the defensive. First they deny that there's a spike in crime. Then they try to explain it away. Then they say that ideas being offered by the other side won't work, without saying why or offering any ideas of their own. And they skirt around the fact that the problem got worse after their reforms.

It's hard to avoid the feeling that they care more about criminals than the law abiding public.

It is hard to not concede the criminal element is a big part of their base, too. I am old enough to recall when even Democrats were law abiding, patriotic citizens.

Teen criminals don't vote, they don't care. They wouldn't know where to go or sign up

And that’s where they’ve lost me. I mean, there’s other things I could fault them on, but this is Exhibit A in where they really blew it. And this may very well cost them their jobs in the 2022 midterm election. They’re in no position to be complacent — nobody is, in any state. If I have a fantasy about all this, it’s that the career politicians of every state, not just ours, gets routed. Every deep-blue and deep-red state that’s had politicians at the helm for 25 years needs to go.

Like Democrat Donald Trump and his cronies. Or the Republican "base" on January 6? How many indictments at this point? Your statement is ridiculous.

I stand with the statement, given the "Avoid Legal Consequences" crime bills Ct Dems passed.

And you ignore that just about the entire Republican party is now engaged in a criminal conspiracy to steal an election? The fact that they're bad at it doesn't make it any less criminal.

Clean your own house before you equivocate.
