The gaslighting and obfuscation is unreal.
I skimmed through both articles. The first article basically said "crime goes up and down and nobody can control it." A useless statement that was made even more useless without the inclusion of a single piece of data.

The second article confused me. The writer acknowledged that crime has spiked in CT, and even pointed out that it has spiked in CT higher than the national average. This time he used plenty of stats to make these points. The writer is talking out of both sides of his mouth.

Did you even read the articles you posted?

Huh?

The first article is an op/ed accusing the state GOP of ginning up faux outrage over crime based on a few anecdotes. The second article covers the latest FBI crime stats that show an increase in homicides, car thefts and property crimes in the state, thereby dumping a bunch of water on the premise of the op/ed, before turning to some quotes by experts (including longtime Dem Mike Lawlor) who essentially explain it all away due to Covid. Hence my gaslighting (there is no crime increase, GOP is making stuff up) and obfuscation (maybe there is a crime increase, but its Covid) comment.

Now your response makes some sense. It was difficult to read as both articles had a paywall.

Thank you for clarifying. Blaming it on covid almost seems like satire, even though I expect little rationale response from Lawlor ever.

It can be fully blamed on the Democratic-led knee jerk response to law enforcement, creating an anti-police environment around the globe, resulting in officers’ zero pro activity, defunding of entire police departments, and worst of all, it gave the green light for dirtbags to [successfully] challenge police.

It happened to fall in the middle of COVID - but COVID had zero to do with it.

The FBI, not gaslighters, say homocides are up 30% nationwide, largest 1 year increase ever. Ever! Much of it in smaller locales and cities too, not just majors. It says "nationwide" so I assume many other states, not just CT. I didn't say it, just Google it
Is it coincidence that it spiked during a pandemic?

Ct Democratic party will likely make cops ticket riders in back seat who are unbuckled, as the car is being carjacked.

Back seat riders are a priority to Dems; people getting carjacked and assaulted as in Orange during one are not their priority.

Yes CV symptoms may include loss of smell/taste, body aches, fever, coughing, headaches, etc...
Don't recall looting and murder on WebMD!?
