Looks like we are entering a period of sunny and dry weather with cool nights and warm days. 8:AM obs show most locations in the 40's F...so highs near 55 - 60 F seems reasonable. With mostly calm winds and sunshine today should be a nice day:

Since there appears to be no weather drama for a while, here is something interesting to watch:

NWS Bradley MIGHT? break a 70 year old record this week if they fail to fall below freezing.

The normal last freeze at NWS Bradley (30 year normals) is April 24th. This April, the last time Bradley fell to freezing (or below) was April 8th. This April is now in the number 2 spot for earliest last freeze in 70 years. There is a chance (60/40) of a freeze Sunday or Monday night (more likely early Tue morning). IF Bradley gets past this (it looks like cloudy and warmer nights again into next weekend after that), Bradley might have one of the earliest starts to the growing season in 70 - 75 years?:

This doesn't make sense. The proper way to look at it is--what's the latest last freeze at BDL, and what's the probability of not dropping to 32 F between now and then?

I’m typing now from an airport terminal down south heading back up soon. My God is it freezing up there Jesus it never ends.

NWS Bradley is currently only 52 F (4 pm obs). It just might be a close call tonight. The clouds might keep them above 32 F by just a few degrees...or maybe not. Lol
