And he has said about ten times now that Islam is a verb meaning the way an individual conducts his life, so your pretense at being confused just makes you look silly.
The religion is a Religion of Peace, but not all Muslims are Peaceful.
Islam is not an entity. It is the individual act of a person submitting to Allaah(swt)
Islam is all about personal responsibility, there are no "Religious Authorities" standing over you forcing you to "act Muslim" Contrary to what a few Mideastern Nations believe.
You can say this till you're blue in the face, but if radical Muslims don't agree with your interpretation of Islam, then it does absolutely NO good to keep repeating it. And they DON'T agree. There ARE religious leaders in Islam, there ARE sects within Islam, there ARE controlling factions in many areas of the globe, and all the peaceful kumbaya you can muster up about individual responsibility doesn't mean a thing to them - or their followers.

That is true.
But it does not change that the majority of us do not follow any religious leader. That many (actually most) do not recognize sectarianism. A person who says he is Muslim is accepted as Muslim, no qualify adjective before the name of Muslim.
True it does no good for me to keep repeating it, but I believe my repetition is needed for answers to specific statements or questions.
Like all Muslims I speak only for myself. No one will ever know what each Muslim believes or follows unless you ask every Muslim. Like all people some of us are peaceful and some of us are violent. None of us have the ability to change that.
Thousands of Yazidi women are believed to have been abused as sex slaves by ISIS. Some escaped — or were essentially bought back by middlemen — and have given horrific accounts of abuse they and their children suffered.
"They raped our women," sobs Ali's relative, Matto Matto, a younger man. "They forced them to do that."
Ominously for the future of this ethnically and religiously mixed area, the men now direct their anger and grief toward Arab Muslims from Sinjar and its nearby villages.
"There are Arabs around us," says Matto, "and those Arabs took our women, took our children, killed our men."
None of the Yazidis I spoke with over two days in the area drew any distinction between ISIS fighters and the Arab families who stayed on in ISIS-held areas. But many Iraqis who share ISIS' Sunni Muslim faith say they live under the extremists' rule simply because they have nowhere else to go.
"In those Arab villages are innocent people," says Hassan Alaf, a Sunni Muslim who used to serve in the provincial council in the nearby city of Mosul. "But we know that in any war, and especially in those areas, most of the people are tribal, whether Arab or Kurd or Yazidi. Second, the tribes in most of these areas use acts of revenge."
And so, he warns: "There will be a violent battle in this area."
ISIS fighters take over an area, and law and order completely breaks down. The local police have been killed or driven out. The stuff attributed to radical Islam is really criminal behavior on the part of non-professional soldiers and locals who can commit crimes with impunity.
Idiots like this are doing exactly what ISIS wants.
Told to "go back home".
Didn't happen here, but you can assume it's the usual suspects based on the above quote.
On a similar note my wife has been told to go back home several times. We find it a bit amusing as she is Native American (Cheyenne)
