It's not about turning America into Denmark. Its about taking good ideas, some that we used to have, and applying them into an american model.
"I think we can look to other countries like Denmark and see what we can learn from them and apply it in a way that can work for America"
to the media, and uneducated voter means:
"LET'S BECOME DENMARK AS FAST AS POSSIBLE AND DO EVERY SINGLE THING THEY DO
Right, and I'm not saying its turning us into Denmark, but we really need a much more serious detailed understanding of how they accomplish these things.
I mean people love to compare us and say how great we are, but its a shame we cant be more like these tiny homogeneous countries that have fractions of the population that we do, and a fraction of the issues that we do.
It would be like the head of a grounds crew of a huge golf course saying "I dunno, at my house I just have one lawn mower, I spend $4 on gas every few weeks and the lawn looks pretty good when I'm done, I don't know why it cant be that cheap and easy here at the 10,000 acre golf course thats full of water, sand traps, and has people walking all over it all day every day"
These fanciful dreams of being like one of those other countries are nothing more...just fanciful. There is probably a ton that we would need to give up to even come close, and even then you are trying to put a square peg into a round hole.
Yeah...you are missing the obvious. Seriously, does everything have to be spelled out to you?
How would moving to another state change anything?
No, states were not specifically called out. Its the theory in general. Wealthy people have the means and the motivation to move when taxes are too high. Do you honestly think this guy with his billions of dollars in investments, millions in salary, and billions in revenue from his company wouldn't up and leave to go to Canada, Ireland, or somewhere else to save $10s of millions in taxes and leave the Federal government with less revenue? Same thing.

Because taxes are lower in Canada? They already pay for Universal Health care and many other benefits.
Maybe move to Greece and watch it collapse around him? France?

There are few places safer than right here.
Fewer "safer" is highly questionable and very vague, but it wasn't the point. The point is that a very wealthy person clearly can and will move elsewhere to save that much money.
The US doesn't even rank on this listing of the "safest" countries, although some of these Scandinavian countries do:

There is no point in what they "can do". They can burn it all also.

So if someone had a gun pointed at your face your first response would be to ignore it because sure they "can" pull the trigger, but lets wait and see if they do?

We are dealing with a cap gun here. A lot of noise but no damage. Only the Fed runs socialist programs to bail the rich out of their mistakes.
I guess taking from the rich isn't as easy as it sounds.
Until Bernie started running, I had no idea that I was "the rich." Based on the comments I've seen here, I think that the 1% must be big enough to cover 60 or 70% of the population.
