erieguy, Hillary is not from Arkansas for the millionth time. She is from Illinois. BORN and raised in a wealthy suburb of Chicago. Met Bill while they were in college at Yale. Connecticut, btw, not Arkansas. She married Bill (from Arkansas) when he was running to Governor. The Clintons STAYED in NY to this day. Why not back to where they were "from"? Maybe she likes living in a wealthy suburb of NYC, which reminds her of growing up in a suburb of Chicago?

Oz? From NJ? No he is from (BORN) TURKEY. No matter where he hangs his hat, nothing can change where he was BORN. Is Biden wrong to say he is from Scanton because he no longer lives in PA?
Who said Hillary was born in Arkansas? She lived in Arkansas and was a carpetbagger running in NY.

Lol. Proof to Oz being born in Turkey?

Bingo. They once again prove they have no idea what they’re talking about.

Such jealousy of Oz’s accomplishments is a terrible look. Why does having 8 homes and 2 of which in another country, and being from another state have to do with not being able to be a great politician for another state, and please be specific?

Did anyone see the interview with Fetterman ?

The guy recently had a stroke and it is affecting his cognitive functions. He had to read the question off a teleprompter and who knows if he was also reading his response from it?

Also the reporter said that he was having problems making small talk.

The Dems seem to be ignoring Fetterman's health issues but what if this was the Republican candidate? They would be all over him with questions about his ability to do the job. Then again maybe Fetterman is the type that the Dems want in DC, he will do as he is told and vote how he is told.

Bingo…the folks crying about Oz are voting Democrat no matter who the candidate is, and even Fetterman who has so proven to have an absolutely terrible resume along with him being incompetent and unable to comprehend.

For sure we get constant regurgitation of the candidate's mendacious attack ads and bogus smears against his opponent our current lieutenant governor. We hear how his discredited medical TV show makes him a success. We are bombarded with the pathetic notion that the financial fortune he has amassed ---from selling bogus diet pills to women and discredited COVID treatments to the country and marrying into a $3 Billion fortune--- equates to ethical leadership. We are told the MAGA seal of approval---and the long list of grievances, fear mongering and loyalty to Trump that accompanies it--- falsely translates to substantive ideas & policies for good governance. But where is the credible evidence that he deserves our vote for the serious responsibility of being our senator??

My questions are quite genuine. What does MAGA Republican "America First" candidate Mehmet Oz--- who maintains dual citizenship with Turkey, served in the Turkish Army, owns real estate in Turkey, has an endorsement deal with Turkish Airlines, and voted in Turkey’s 2018 presidential election---known for his knack for quackery, offer the people of Pennsylvania? All I see is a TV star who resides in New Jersey and works in New York, who has been anointed a candidate by the GOP to parachute into Pennsylvania to secure a Senate seat to advance their extreme and radical MAGA Republican White nationalist, anti-women, anti-democracy agenda. What are his value priorities? Where exactly are his loyalties? And what are his specific plans to advance Pennsylvania and her men and women and their families?

Pennsylvanians know the successful story of Lieutenant-governor John Fetterman's dedication and service to us and our commonwealth. It has been factually and credibly reported in this thread and well documented throughout his years as a public servant. He is running on the same issues he's valued and the policies he's advanced for the past 2 decades: Pennsylvania jobs & businesses, women's rights, free and fair elections, rule of law, incarceration honesty and educational sanity.

John Fetterman a born and raised Pennsylvanian is running for the Senate to SERVE Pennsylvanians.
Mehmet OZ a MAGA sanctioned carpetbagger is running for the Senate to USE Pennsylvanians.

I see no evidence that suggests otherwise.

I believe Oz will be a smart independent vote in the US Senate whereas Fetterman will be a rubber-stamp for the failing Democratic policies of Schumer, Pelosi and Biden/Warren. Is that what PA wants?
I find your answer to my questions puzzling. I wonder if you would be so kind as to explain how Mehmet Oz plans to translate his fraudulent diet pill and pseudo-science TV business experience into being an effective senator for Pennsylvania. How does that prepare him for proposing legislation on the environment or gun safety and which bills to support that are robust for not only Pennsylvanians, but all Americans? How does that $3 billion fortune of his wife's alter his thinking when voting on tax legislation that shields the wealthy and unfairly places the burden on the middle class and the states? What in his background has prepared him for understanding the needs of our governments' institutions, courts and agencies as he approves their leaders and judges?

Oz has been very vocal about fear & grievance mongering, but short on policy and solutions, and I still see no evidence that suggests he is equipped to create meaningful progress or improvement or protections for we the people. He has been long on planting bogus and wholly indecent labels on Fetterman who in reality has a hefty résumé of public and government service. I am doubtful that Oz has an independent voice, as you insist, because he mimics the MAGA movement's extremism on women's reproductive rights and the conspiratorialists 2020 election denialism. Calling women's healthcare murder is a non-starter for many of us in Pennsylvania as are anti-democracy stances and 2020 election denialism.

I don't see any compelling reason that Pennsylvania or her diverse citizenry would benefit from having the unqualified, lightweight, carpetbagger Mehmet Oz as their senator. I do see the dangers, however.

THE reality that Oz cannot thump a complete fool who had a stroke with residual mental issues, wants to eliminate cash bail for everyone, is deeply challenged n his wardrobe and can't talk straight is more a problem with Oz than Fetterman.

Democrats are not very bright, these are the exact traits that propelled Biden to the presidency.

Dr. Mehmet Oz was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1960 to parents who were born in Turkey and emigrated to the US. That makes him a natural born citizen of the United States.

Dr. Oz obtained Turkish citizenship as a child of Turkish nationals. After graduating from medical school in the US, he served in the Turkish Army for two years to maintain his foreign citizenship.

Several reasons for this - Oz is seen as an outsider as some of these responses in this forum shows, Fetterman has the "home field" advantage of being Lt. Governor, the fact that OZ barely won his primary so that he was never the first choice for many republicans, and the issue of the abortion for some is the only issue that matters. Finally, there are some that will just vote for anyone, including someone with cognitive issues that cannot even coherently communicate anymore, that has a "D" beside their name.

But race has tightened considerably in last few months.
