Hello, I'm a French student. I have to do a homework about american's vision of France. More precisely about French baker install in america.. If you have any opinion about that, I will be glad to heard it! Thank you for your response
I do not understand what you mean by baker install.
Baguettes are available in many places, known as "French bread'. Other items, such as croissants and various pastries are popular too. French restaurants in America are doing well.
I like Cotes du Rhone wine with food. Later, a Cognac VSOP.
I have been to France several times. Paris is exciting, the most interesting city I have seen. Tours, Orleans, Angouleme, Cahors, Arles, Nantes, and Toulouse are great cities to see. My favorite regions are Languedoc-Roussillon, Aquitaine, Poitou-Charente, and Midi-Pyrenees. I like the architecture, the history, and natural landscapes. Also, I like Anne-Sophie, the woman who broadcasts the news for Languedoc-Roussillon on France3 (19/20). She's beautiful!

As an American who would like to travel to France, my first impression is :
- a nation of gastronomers, connoisseur of good food and drink .
- drinking wine is like drinking water
- baking or bread making is a national obsession.
- an alternative to Hollywood films ( I enjoy French films )
- socialism+capitalism
- french women are sophisticated and sexy
- dress elegant
- nudity is not an 'issue'
- rude and arrogant ( I'm going to get shot for this )
First of all, "merci" for your answer! You had visited a lot of French city, why are you so interested by France? Is this country have something more of the others? I would like to know if in america there is special baker where we only sold french produce, and also if we can find french bread everywhere. (Can I ask you where you live because we also studies the French impact according to region)
Don't worry, you're right.. French people (we) are rude, and it is true, a little arrogant: unfortunately! But thank you for you opinion of the France, if you have to define our culture with only 3 adjectives, what will they?

I live in the state of Arizona (I'm embarrassed to say), in the city of Tucson. Yes, french bread is quite common in grocery stores in America. And I believe those french breads are baked by generic bakeries where they bake all kinds of bread, at least, in my area. If you are referring for French bakeries in the U.S. , all you need to do is just do a google - French bakeries in the U.S. or French bakeries in <U.S. location>.
Never visited France. I'm interested in France because I like watching French films - they are more creative and different than the generic Hollywood films (western, sci-fi etc..). I get tired of Hollywood films every now and then so I watch French films. Plus, from what I see in movies and photos, Paris is much prettier than from where I live (now I'm really gonna get shot , for sure).
...also, I used to work in a French restaurant as a waiter and line cook way back in my younger days. I get free French meals as a benefit for my job. Delicious!
