You mean "by the Russians". There are no "rebels", they are almost all Red Army and mercenaries.
Where is the proof? Where the number of divisions, photographs of soldiers, captured officers? Where is the proof???
Rebels upload videos of their military operations, where the visible face, used weapons, Ukrainian POWs and dead soldiers. Where is your evidence for the involvement of Russian soldiers?
You can post whatever propaganda you want to, it doesn't mean that anyone believes you. Russians are smart and I know even Russians know this is all lies.
If Russia prefers a destroyed economy and isolated national status, that is her choice. It seems extremely foolish to want poverty for your nation, but you have made your choice willingly.

Here on this video the DNR officer in charge gets irritated once - when he hears pure Russian dialect from one of the captive. "You speak good Russian; aren't you ashamed?" he asks. ( The rest of the captives sound like people from non-Eastern provinces.)
and on this videog the recurring theme as much as in the previous one ( at 1;29) that Ukrainian soldiers were getting false information from their superiors; they've been told to pick up the wounded in the airport, which according to them was still under the Ukrainian control,) but when the soldiers arrived to the airport, they've been told to stage an attack on the DNR people, which were really in control of the airport.
This soldier is saying that he wishes now that he'd refused to serve in the army and be imprisoned instead of being betrayed by his superiors and then left behind to die.
( Yes, he is severely wounded, and yes he is on his way to a hospital.)
Mariupol - an important logistics hub, a seaport. The city is very important for DNR, but the assault on the city will be very difficult to carry out.
I don't know, I think it will be more difficult to defend than to take. Novorussian forces will only have to pull up to the east side and close the highway going north this will greatly hinder the Ukies while leaving the way for them to run open. The NR forces can raid from Donetsk area in a SE direction and unless the Ukies have a lot of manpower to keep the NR contained.
I also don't think the Ukrainians have the competence to defend the city and I hope the NR has the resources.

In March-April Putin could have brought troops in and set all these people free from Kiev's bozos.
No one would have done anything about it at that point at time. Eastern Ukraine would have gone its own way, keeping economic ties with Russia, whatever. So many people wouldn't have lost their lives - East and West Ukranians alike.
Oh but no, oh but sanctions, but "criticism" coming from the "democratic leaders" of the West.
I guess "Russian elite" loves to spend their vacations in Western resorts too much and send their children to London's private schools?
It's ok though, the life will put everything into the right places. Russian leaders including. They'll figure out where their "elite" should keep their money, in which banks and what economy these money should work for.
