[quote=boxus;36332783]Unlike say, the US? NATO? Numerous other EU countries recently? I do not recall Libya, Iraq, nor Syria ever giving permission for foreign forces to enter their country.

it's somehow different, though. (often, usually) Russia did it for her own strategic advantage
while US,NATO are more concerned about general peace among countries

you can see it by international approvement of the actions

Good article.

"Why the Ukraine Crisis Is the West’s Fault
The Liberal Delusions That Provoked Putin

...United States and its European allies now face a choice on Ukraine. They can continue their current policy, which will exacerbate hostilities with Russia and devastate Ukraine in the process -- a scenario in which everyone would come out a loser. Or they can switch gears and work to create a prosperous but neutral Ukraine, one that does not threaten Russia and allows the West to repair its relations with Moscow. With that approach, all sides would win."

Interesting tidbit.

Quote:
Today or yesterday Army of Novorossiya was supplied in Lugansk region with this massive ressuply convoy of armored and logistics veichles from Russia that included at least 33 BMP 2,14 T72B and T72B m1989 tanks and 8 MTLB and Soon in a few months Army of Novorossiya will have 300-500+ tanks
Now the glorious Ukropian army has %0 of wining this war they missed their chance to subdue Novorossiya, now its way to late for ukro army after the heavy losses they suffer every day in men and veichles destroyed Lost Armour | ?????? ???????????? and captured by Novorossiya Army Lost Armour | ????????? ???????????? Army of Novorossiya has literarily been capturing dozen combat veichles from glorious ukranian army a day for the last ten days. ukranian army has lost around 150-200 tanks and 300+ other combat veicles and only has about 400 tanks left in active service.
Army of Novorossiya now has around 100+ modern tanks including T72B3 and T72B m1989,40+ self propelled artillery, 40+ BM21 Grad and 4 BM27 Uragan MLRS,100+ BMP2 and BMP1,100+ BTR82/80/70 and 100+ heavy artillrey and a few Tulpan self prolled seige mortars and now 30,000 soldiers and thats more heavy combat equipment than many europen contries, slovakia has only 4 tanks. Army of Novorossia is getting stronger every day in number of veicles and easily compensating many fold with resuplies for its light atrition. Army of Novorossiya is not just merely going to free Donetsk and Lugansk reigion, now its very likely Kharkov,Dnepropetrovsk,Nikolaiv,Odessa and Kherson region will be retaken from the weak and crumbling Ukranian Army and become part of Novorossia.

Yet another correspondent confirmed to be dead in East Ukraine ( it's the 8th already.)
His colleagues found his remains today, finally - in a car, with two other people; they were shelled by Ukrainian army.
This video has been made in his memory;

Graham Phillips posted his witnessing today too - road from Lugansk to Novosvetlovka, with burned bus of refugees fleeing the war zone.

The DNR fighters said that the day Andrei Stenin ( the photo reporter) has been killed, a lot of civilians in cars have been shot by Ukrainian army.

So Stenin wasn't following those DNR soldiers he assisted with torturing people? What a pity.

No, the Ukrainian reps were making up stories for long time as it turned out, that he was captured ( for being "accessory to crime" or whatever they were accusing him of,) and alive, and that they were planning to exchange him. He was actually shot long time ago, in his car, so all their accusations were fake.

So the photos Stenin himself took are fake?

I'm talking about the close up pictures he took of the executions and torturings of Ukrainian soldiers. He basically assisted the DNR in spreading their propaganda not unlike those guys that taped the beheading of the American journalists or the guys that documented the murders of the Khmer Rouge for them.

I'm terribly sorry for the parents of Stenin, but by engaging in the kind of activities he did this outcome was basically to be expected.
