I say send in the troops. This is barbarism.
As I've already said - Turist is a devoted putinist, so in case of Ukraine he believed in Putin's propaganda and what's been mockingly identified in Russian as "XPP" (abbreviation for "Sly Putin's Plan.")
I am not going to touch now on who exactly was behind this "sly plan," but the bottom line of this fluke was "Putin knows better, he knows how to outsmart the enemies without bringing troops to the South East of Ukraine. He has a *plan* that you, heathens, can't comprehend."
All while people with more realistic understanding were pointing at the lowest denominator of intellectual capacities of Ukrainian nationalists, at their willingness to engage in any kind of destructive activities - be that mass murder, technological sabotage, or as in this case - ecological terrorism.
They are out there to destroy and "cleanse the territory" for their new overlords, hoping that after all this destruction their overlords will rebuild for them everything anew. ( They are not capable of doing it themselves of course.)
And so part of Russians understood much better that the takeover of Crimea wouldn't be enough, that this Nazi hordes needed to be stopped in their tracks, because they would bring more hustle down the line, and so Russian troops were needed in the rest of the South-East.
But it was not done back then, and these are the consequences. Putin has no one to blame now ( other than his economic advisers) but himself.
Apparently his economic advisers managed to convince him that the West will come to terms with Crimea's takeover, if he ( Putin that is) will leave the South-East alone.
However by now you know the result of it all.
So now the West ( that it so preoccupied with the "climate change") will be gleefully silent about this developing ecological disaster, while screaming "Freedom to Navalny" to no end.
Oh well.
Few more events like this, and the next world flood is in order.

P.S. They were talking about the big reserves of the underground waters in Crimea, but this is a long haul project.
I was in Simferopol in 2009. It was not near that bad as this video wants you to think. But it wasn't as nice as it is now, that is for sure. The reallocation of funds to Crimea is paying off.
As for the water, Ukraine isn't obligated to divert water to Crimean farms which were taken away from Ukraine. Russian troops are not keen on dying so they have no plans to try to take this water source by force.

Russian mortality increased 20% in 2020, one of the highest increases in deaths over 2019 in the world. They also undercounted their deaths from covid by more than any country in the world not named Belarus Egypt or end in "-stan". By undercount, I mean attribute the lowest ratio of excess deaths to covid. But Russia doesn't allow excess death rates to be mentioned in the media (Putin doesn't allow bad news to exist), so perhaps this explains why they don't seem to care too much? Or their usual contempt of human life applies here as well.
