That's about as bad as France, which is one of the most hesitant countries in the world. I am glad I don't have plans to go to either anytime soon.

Moonshine with horseradish and a banya-that's the best cure for all diseases.

....maybe they are not enforcing them because they are useless so better let it slide hoping for the public to forget rather than having eggs all over their face.
The only real chance is if the US can somehow cow the Germans to abandon NS2, in that case the pipeline would run empty....so far there are no sign of it. Short of that, NS2 will be finished, Russia has clearly stated that it has the capabilities to do it for the entire supply chain...there is absolutely nothing the US can do about it, nada, zilch.

There is always a possibility of some provocation by Ukraine to trigger a Russian reaction and then point a finger "You see?? We need sanctions!!!!"...it will not work.

The good thing that came out of the combined Trump sanction-mania (well started by Obama anyway) and the COVID epidemic is that we can definitely throw in the trashcan of history the neoliberal ideas (really a misinterpretation of Adam Smith writing) of production efficiencies, to produce only what you are really good at and globe spanning supply chains. Good riddance. Nations finally learned (some of them the hard way) that self sufficiency is very important and no self respecting country will put itself under the yoke of the Washington Consensus ever again...this is what really what drives the West crazy...the emperor has no clothes.

Just a little video. If anything, there are subtitles with translation. But, most importantly, you can understand it without translation.

No, that's not true. Macroeconomic theory is still correct. Free market trading always beats out closed off economies. Russian growth is non existent without devaluation of their currency so they are stealing from one area to help another. Which is why it still lacks overall growth since 2014. Russia is not a case that any country would follow unless of course the country is setup to enrich the top 5%. Juche by another name...

A batch of T-90 M tanks have been delivered to the Russian army. 100 or so with more in the pipeline.
