“Should Russia attempt to use energy as a weapon or commit further aggressive acts against Ukraine, Germany will take action at the national level and press for effective measures at the European level, including sanctions to limit Russian export capabilities to Europe in the energy sector,”
So what about Ukraine? What if they attack Donbas? Do a little ethnic cleansing? What if they act hostile towards Russia?

I do not think is nothing to worry about for Russia...simply a useless consolation prize for Ukraine which, as we all know, it was always a pawn to be discarded when no longer needed in the grand scheme of things.
Very good week for Russia.
I suspect the Nazidiots in Kiev may try to lash at Donbass to try to stir things up...as someone famously said many years ago....feeling lucky punk??
I wish I had the skills to make a video and put Putin and Zelensky faces in this iconic fragment of movie history.

LOL!! I was thinking the same thing just yesterday. i'd like to see a gun in Zelenskys face, a Russian Makarov not a S&W though. Not to mention a Dushka letting loose in the Rada.

I do not have the skills to make the video but I can provide the dialogue LOL
Putin: "I know what you thinking punk.....he has five or six assault divisions at the border??....To tell you the truth I do not even know myself, you would have to ask Shoigu for details.....but the number does not even matter considering that they are equipped with the most powerful guided missiles in the world capable of blowing the Rada and Mariyinsky Palace clean off with one shot and no warning, you should ask yourself a question....Do I feel lucky??......well do you punk??? LOL
Meanwhile, Pentagon has quietly resumed the air attacks on Taliban. The US may not have boots on the ground but is rebuilding the politico-military capacity to charter the peace process in directions that suit its geopolitical interests.
The apparent US retrenchment hoodwinked the regional states. On its part, Russia even reached out to the US to form a collegium under the canopy of its Troika mechanism. Formats other than the Doha process are also being discussed. Everyone seems to want to boost the political process. Tehran recently hosted a conference for the representatives of the Afghan government and the Taliban.
The Biden Administration has a compass to navigate the Afghan situation, with a default position buttressing a ‘forward policy’. The withdrawal of troops means that the danger of US fatalities is minimal in the period ahead. This enables the US to go full throttle to try to prevent a Taliban takeover that would tarnish President Biden’s reputation globally. Thus, Washington is finessing a new working relationship with Ghani.
The US doubts the Taliban’s capability to overpower the Afghan armed forces in the near term. This gives respite to recalibrate the US response. A ceasefire is not particularly necessary for the US at this point, as it may only work to Taliban’s advantage in the prevailing circumstances. In fact, the US has resumed th air strikes against the Taliban. read more
Russia, China, Iran are in the US crosshairs and Washington’s future agenda is principally oriented to blocking China’s Belt & Road, promoting regime change in Central Asia, using militant Islam as geopolitical tool, and consolidating a long-term presence in Afghanistan as a template of its Indo-Pacific strategy.
Otherwise the Christendom would have been in much worse shape ( and much bigger danger) than it is today.
And Russians out of all people understand better than anyone else the danger of this growing Islamic power/unification on its Eastern borders ( the Turks' desire to grab a bigger piece in Caucasus, Afghanistan, Syria including.)
But unfortunately they have to deal with Ukrainian Taliban now, that's unleashed on its Western border, yet again with American help.
Back in 1769, the Crimean Khanate, an Ottoman protectorate, at a last major Tatar raid captured 20,000 Russian and Ruthenian slaves. The Crimean khans were descendant of Genghis Khan, who fought other Mongols for the Crimean throne in the early 15th Century. The slave trade was the backbone of their economy, and no doubt they were procurers of many harems.
Good thing that the Russian Empire annexed the Khanate in 1783. source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimean_Khanate
