I've seen Chevys and Fords but Russians seem to prefer Mercedes and Audi over everything else. Fords are prevalent though,
your compact types like their version of the Focus. I've seen a few Caddilacs but nothing near what I've seen of Fords.

Apparently Ford is doing well.

I'm sure you heard that the Focus was the best selling car there for a while (made in St. Petersburg) but that wasn't your question. In Russia as in anywhere, opinions vary as to the most iconic American car and that taste evolves over time. 10 years ago the 5th Gen Ford Mustang was a cool car to have for my younger demographic. It was a little more bad boy than the middle aged ex soviets driving their black German whatever. Hummer 2s and Tahoe's and their variants were the VIP SUV as they are most places. More recently than that Chevy make inroads with their Cameros and Corvettes. Currently I'd say the Tesla.
