Frank, these are both beautiful homes and they look so manicured. You said you had built the NY home yourself? You need to advertise. Forget waiting 4more years for retirement.

Maybe the wife wouldn't mind if I "borrowed" you next time I go house hunting? LOLLL. Let me know when one of your neighbors wants to sell. :-))

Yes, please send pics of snow so I can be ever more thankful that I am not there anymore!

I built my house as well, but I can't take a picture as it's hidden in the trees, you can't see it from the street ( and I like it that way). Flat concrete roof, raised 12 feet on columns and an additional 3 feet on the foundation, with homemade hurricaneproof glass/plexiglass windows. Roof also doubles as a patio and no mold/rot/termites or rats to worry about. Hurricane and tornado proof.

Sounds like a terrific place, Rick. You've got all the possibilities covered.

Well, see, that's the idea. Frank, my DH and yours can get together and putter while you and I and Frank's DW can go SHOPPING or whatever! I didn't just fall off the turnip truck, ya know!
