Which is best in meatloaf red or white wine. I would only use prosecco as a drinking wine. Is there a particular type of wine that you use?

Perhaps the old rule of thumb "Red goes with meat" If I have left over red wine when I make meat balls I am apt to add it. There is almost never any left over white wine. Actually we go as much by the season Red in Winter, White in Summer.

If there is a little red wine left in a bottle I put it in a container and freeze it for such times. I usually have Cabernet Savignon on hand.

elston, in this case, the white wine is on the meatloft. It's necessary to cook the meatloft.
We use white wine instead of a middle glass of water.

I don't understand the meaning of "cardboard" wine. Hope you had a good swim.
