My original plan was to go shopping today, but I changed my mind since I haven't even gone to bed yet. Our veggie will have to be something canned or frozen

I love the ideas from this thread!

Well, have I ever been blessed this month! I have another DATE NIGHT!

My parents promised my girls a night at their house before school starts next week and tonight is the night that worked out... Hubby has tomorrow off and we are calling tonight our Friday... thinking about Italian... I would totally do that Mediteranian Restaurant again... but how lame would I be? LOL

I have to say... after hearing some of the ideas on here... I might be making some meat loaf tomorrow night

Looks like I started a trend!

Last night, we had "Every Man for Himself" night. DH fixed himself a couple fish sandwiches w/chips, I had a cold meatloaf sandwich w/ a side of cold home made baked beans. Gotta love those meatloaf sandwiches.

I'll let ya know later about tonight. Have a great day.

Speaking of tomatos, I grew some cherries last year but due to an extended vacation over the summer decided not to plant any this year, but....just the other day in the yard, in a kind of wild area, found a whole cherry tomato vine with tons of tomatoes on it!!!! They are all green, but I'm going to wait a few days, sneak out when the bear's not around, and grab 'em.

Do bears eat tomatoes?

OMG where the heck in MA are you? You asked if bears eat tomatoes....I am guessing they will eat WHATEVER THEY WANT.......

We have a meeting tonight, so an easy dinner for us. Luckily, when my garden came in, I put a huge pot together of veggie soup and froze a couple of containers. So, I am thawing that now and we will have soup for dinner. It is totally cooked just needs thawing and heating.

Tonight is ring bologna with sauerkraut, braised potatoes, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. Simple, good and filling!

Our nearby lake is filling up nicely from the recent rains--and boy it did rain! Possible thunder/rain storms today---might try to sneak to the lake and get in a couple of hours fishing. Might add some fresh fish to the menue!

I think we will have something grilled tonight, when my company gets back from a day excursion.......maybe some chicken....the boys have enormous appetites!!!!!

Tomorrow before they take off for the rest of their vacation trip I will be doing lunch which I believe will be NE Clam Chowdah! and sandwiches. All has gone well....but I do look forward to getting back to normal.

I have missed my C-D time with friends.

It's nice to have company, but it's also nice when they leave, right? Best of luck w/your chowdah. I'm sure it'll turn out fine.

No dinner here, unless it's real easy, light stuff. We ran errands today and ended up at Golden Corral buffet, so we're stuffed. At least I finally got my hair cut. Yay!
