Creamy pumpkin soup with leeks. Roasted cauliflower. A large tossed salad with Boston Lettuce dried cranberries walnuts and thinly sliced red onions and crumbled blue cheese. Apple spice vinaigrette dressing.
A nice loaf of crusty whole grain bakery bread - what ever they have.
Apple crisp for desert. And some local Ohio wine for the adults. apple cider for the others.
My only pumpkin experience has been the seeds and pumpkin pie. The salad sounds scrumptious!
It cooled down a lot, so I'm fixing gumbo tonight with a bumper crop of okra that I just harvested from the garden, and some Portugese corn bread (a yeast wheat loaf with cornmeal in it) to sop the bowl. Ice cream sundaes for dessert.
