I still have visitors here and tonight I am making Königsberger Klopse/German meatballs in creamy caper sauce served with boiled salt potatoes and a sprinkle of parsley and others who do not eat pork/veal meat can have baby dill/parsley meatballs with creamy mushroom sauce. For dessert dark red juicy cherries or sliced mangoes.

Well as usual, when we went to one granddaughters for dinner last night with the family the other granddaughter had left overs from the night before that she and hubby knew they wouldn't eat. It was a wonderful pork tenderloin they had grilled. There were 2 in the package and she didn't realize it. That is why he grilled or smoked them both. Anyway, knowing her dear grandma never turns down some free she brought it to us. So, dinner tonight is: pork tenderloin, broccoli, green beans and avocado tomato salad. I might do cous cous also, but am not sure.

Soups.

And the perfect opportunity to stock up on ice cream.

Mashed potatoes with butter and sour cream.

Apple sauce.

You also may want to grab a few cans of Ensure to make sure that you are getting enough vitamins and nutrients.

Thank you! I would LOVE to come to dinner.

Seriously: That sounds delicious (minus the carrots). I just drooled. Enjoy!

Oh, they are pretty good carrots, just barely tender, with a bit of fresh ginger and a bit of brown sugar....just sayin'. I'm a new convert to buying brisket, because it's so expensive. Lately, I've been able to buy 2# at a time, which is great for two people, so I'm brisket crazy. It makes super rich gravy, too.
