CM- Your dinner has me drooling.

Molochai- Thank you for the food pics. I love visuals and thank you for the recipe.

I will be making my DH Oven baked Italian Chicken breast with shoe peg corn. He always eats shoe peg corn.

I am making zucchini/carrot fritters and fresh corn on the cob for myself. I posted the recipe on the "Food and Drink Chat thread".

Hi, all. Quiet here this morning.

DH has his head under the sink, putting it together so we can have "real" food tonight. We're celebrating the new kitchen, so it will be prime rib, baked sweet potatoes and some kind of veggie. Have a great day, all. Can't hang around - gotta get back to work - I just took a lunch break and stopped in to say hi.

By way....for a quick side dish....put a pan of water on the stove for the linguine you are going to cook....During that ten minutes sautee garlic slices...in enough olive oil to cover bottom of a pan...sprinkle pepper, salt and a few of your favotite herbs, you may take out the garlic slices when browned or if you choose...leave them in....

Drain the linguine, spread out on a platter....pour the garlic and oil mixture over the macaroni, sprinkle with grated Romano cheese, aereate with a fork to make sure the mixture reaches all the linguine....put a sprig of parsley on top and there you have spaghetti or linguine aglio e' oglio...simply said garlic and oil.....$7.95 a dish in a restaurant....so simple to make...so inexpensive....it was depression dish we laugh when we see the price in restaurants.

I gave the recipe to my Irish chief of staff...some years ago...she ate it four nights in a row....couldn't kiss anyone...with the garlic....but my husband says Bad breath is better than no breath. Cook as noted...make a tossed salad and you are in business.

Plan A is the Wednesday night plain cheese pizza special. I will doctor it with jalapenos and hot banana pepper rings at home. Most likely will add some sweet onion bits to it too. Then a dusting of Parmesan cheese.

It's been so hot that the kids are lucky they're getting a ham and cheese sandwich! Last night i cooked hotdogs and turkey burgers on the grill....nothing on the side....does that make me a bad mommy?

Highlands, I'm trying it tonight with shrimp and scallops instead of lobster, so if it's good I'll post it. It uses melted ricotta for the sauce, so we'll see.

I also plan to make a yummy blueberry cake with lemon sauce. Full of butter, but if I die, I die.
