Your dahlias look great. My first one just bloomed, Midnight Dancer (I think is the name) dark magenta color.

And the first ripe one is.......... Hamson and Praxxus Cherry

1st ripe tomatoes (non cherry)

2014: July 27 (Steak Sandwich)
2019: July 10 (Steak Sandwich)
2020: July 12 (Steak Sandwich, Jet Star)
2022: July 18 (Steak Sandwich)
2023: July 12 (Hamson)

3rd Cuke of the season. Ahhh,

Decided to do some weeding since humidity levels dropped and was in shade

This came up by accident. I'll have to find a day to harvest the potatoes

Things look so much nicer without weeds. Onions always ready too, tops haven't all fallen over yet

Looks good! I’d say ours is about 3 weeks behind yours. I don’t think we’ll have ripe tomatoes until mid to late August.

I'm hoping for ripe tomatoes in early August at the latest. Sungold cherry tomatoes are just starting to ripen. Midnight snack cherry tomatoes might need another week or two.

When did you put your tomatoes in the ground?

We’ve had an unusually wet and cold June and start to July. We just hit 85 for the first time late last week. Really unusual. I’m glad I left corn patch fallow and overseeded with peas- they’re dong great, lol.

Your tomatoes were in the ground 3 weeks longer than mine then. Soil temps are still mid 60s in the morning here, it will probably start that way since daily highs are only in the low-mid 70s and nights in the mid 50s to low 60s. But the tomatoes are still doing good, I don't think it'll take them more time from planting date to ripening than yours have (3 weeks later = Aug 2).

Yeah, I noticed as soon as soil temps were steady in the 70s Tomatoes took off, and everything else for that matter. Interesting to see when you'll get your first ripe one AND last

Here's my 7am soil temps. Pretty much steady and normal now in the mid 70s. F°
Note I never really stayed above 80° much nor dipped into the 60s in July. Only twice in 2021
