In Idaho, I am seeing more and more east coast plates. Could be vacations, but not sure. I see a lot of North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Vermont for some reason. From the midwest, Wisconsin comes up big in this neck of the woods. Missouri, and Texas are frequent in Idaho as well.
Rare in Idaho: Hawaii, most southern states, and Florida is unusual.
Common in Idaho: Utah is prominent, especially in E. Idaho, and the usual suspects, CA, WA, OR, MT.
Whats the farthest out of state/country plate you've seen? Where did you see it?
I live in NJ, but I was once visiting relatives in Maine and there was a car in front of me with a Hawaii license plate. I have no idea how that one happened! That's probably about as far a stretch between states as you can get, with a lot of water thrown in, too.
In NJ, Florida plates are very common. Lots of snowbirds.
From the northern end, we see Quebec plates. A lot of people from Montreal come to the Jersey shore in the summer.
On a serious note, it seems like i have seen a lot, wouldnt know how close to all 50. I do recently rememeber seeing a HI plate, for some reason i made a mental note as these are not totally common. There is also a lot of Canadian plates, especially when i am at the Jersey shore.
I saw it about 2 months ago on the highway here in Atlanta. The car looked to be a brand not sold here in the US either, or at least not widespread here.
A few years back, we were sitting outside a pub in Lake Bled Slovenia when a car with Ontario license plates pulled up. We joked that the wife inside was saying something along the lines of "I told you to ask for directions."
