I don't drink Soda either (unless it's a cocktail), but hey that's just me.

Talk about a nasty hangover. Sweet alcohol drinks are the worst. Once I switched to alcohol with club soda was hangovers were a breeze (not that I drank that much anyway). Get rid of the soda in your cocktails and you'll see.

The real question is why can't southerners make a half-decent pizza?

Probably because there aren't a lot of Italians in the South save a few places like Miami and New Orleans.

This is untrue. Diabetes is mostly a nutritional issue. Walking does little to regulate blood sugar.

Source:I own an exercise equipment company and a fitness studio. And I still know exercise is 20% of the solution to this.

Sweet tea is gross. The question should be "why do southerners drink it so much"? Ice cold, unsweetened tea is the way to go. I want to taste the leaves, not sugar.

Indeed!

Sugar, is sugar, is sugar.

Diabetes and sugar go hand in hand

Southerners are serious about their sweet tea. When you consider that its tea and sugar, the battles over whose is better is comical.
For me, its way too sweet.
I liken it to the idea of loving peanut butter. Most people would not like all natural, no sugar added peanut butter, so, its not the peanuts that they like, its the SUGAR, aka "legal crack".
