I would and I do defend when speaking about New Orleans. So I know how it feels. My whole issue is that I never bashed Houston. I really like Houston and have said that several times.
Thats why I'm not understanding being called "ignorant", "moronic", etc by all these Houstonians when I never knocked Houston...quite the opposite
Actual I called the whole thing ignorant .I am sure I could find the soul of any decent size city.. for the simple reason.. pepole have souls, a city is just a collection of building.. You would think someone from .N.O would understand that clearly.. since with out its people it was what ??? The people who came back brought its soul back..without them it would be what ??? a collection of buildings
Well, I am not from Houston and you are just trying to push peoples buttons.....any other city's residents would act the same way guaranteed if you went after their cities like you did Houston
Sounds like Houstonians have a lot of pride in their great city
...this has become my frustration with many posters here. No matter what you say or how you say it, some bored soul will find something in your statement(no matter how trivial) to argue with you about.
Yep. He LOVES to do that. That's basically the nature of 95% of his posts on City-Data; just type the word "Houston" in any thread and he'll come running to pick an argument with you or anyone who doesn't think that Houston is America's only flawless city. LOL, maybe he works for the Houston Chamber of Commerce?

And the only people ever claim that Houston is a city filled with closed-minded Christians are those who live in the suburbs. No one living in the loop says that.
In reference to your status, keep in mind that "honest" is not synonymous with "accurate".
I lived inside the Loop for more than 15 years, and I think his assessment is accurate.

The company you keep also plays a part... I was born and rasied here and can count on one hand the number of times I have been asked about religion.. and no jehov witness dont count since they do that every where.

Of course you do.

Exactly. I can't even remember the last time I've been invited to a church. The inner loop is dominated by people who likely don't attend church at all. Even outside of the loop, you have so many different religions. In parts of town there are mosques within a mile of Christian churches, and who really cares?
You must admit that my assessment is as valid as yours.
What I know is that most current Houstonians would support what I'm saying.
