The tower crane has arrived at the project slugger lot, and the Carroll south lot has construction fences stacked near the shipping containers, they will probably put the fence up this week; we will be seeing two cranes erect soon, hopefully Westin can get the crane up over the next few months.
as above, The crane for project slugger has arrived. appeared to be an overnight delivery.
Carroll south lot is being prepped for construction.
The city will build an 8 story parking garage, 9 1/2 story aloft, 6 story apartments and a 20 story mixed use tower.
The 15 story mixed use Westin lot is finally moving again. a vast majority has been dug out.
Now pipes are being layed while the remaining remnants of the rest of lot and structures are being demolished.
This is before.

Tanger center coming along.
some more modern mid rise residential infill projects(similar to urban apartments in durham) have been announced, however the city has not revealed the designs yet, i just know two are 7 stories and going near the ball park, i do not know about the other two.
Got some day time shots of the big crane for Project Slugger. 4:30 am was a little too early for me GSOCitizen Haha. But nice shots.
Also on the east of the ballpark overlooking the field, they are putting the final touches on the Carroll at Bellemeade Apartment Buildings overlooking the field. One apartment building and the Hyatt Place opened earlier this year
GSOCitizen.... what's this about two unannounced 7 story mid rise residential projects near the ballpark? One thing that I have noticed particularly with downtown residential. They are gradually getting taller and taller. The first new downtown apartments were like 3 to 4 stories. Now they are 6 to 7. Center Pointe was the only highrise residential development built in recent years but eventually highrise residential will be the norm in downtown Greensboro.

i heard this from a friend of mine thats works for the city, the same guy that basically kept me up to date with all of my other past information that turned out to be true, he knows his stuff.
but of course this is all subject to change, i also still may or may not keep in contact with roy

That's probably why they aren't prematurely announced. Long before Project Slugger there were plans for a 15 story office tower overlooking the field. It was never announced and it never materialized because the city was dragging its feet with the developer. I also agree that you have some reliable sources because the things you said in the past materialized. But as for these 7 story infill residential projects we'll just have to wait. I can think of a few sites around the ballpark where they would likely go.
