Definitely the steel frame will go up fast. So far it's going up faster than the Hampton Inn

GSO boi, in your last picture you can see exactly where the 20 story tower and 9 story aloft, man this area is. Going to look amazing when everything is finished!

Not gonna like I’m super excited!

the Hampton inn was built an entirely different way wasn’t it? They didn’t have 3 story steel beams like this one, and they used a traditional truck crane.

Edit: that’s also why it was so slow to go up, took a year to do 7 floors on a 8 1/2 story building.

This is what I meant by they went floor by floor instead of just laying 3 story metal beams like they’re doing with project slugger, that is why the construction took so long and which is why project slugger on the other hand is going up so fast. Compared to the Hampton inn suits.

Entirely different construction methods,

Project Slugger or by its real name 400 Bellemeade, also has really tall floors and not just on the ground level. Yes it will have 9 levels but its actually the equivalent to a 12 story office tower and it will appear even taller from the lower bowel seating area in the ballpark. I was looking at the beams and it looks like one floor equals almost two floors in the Hyatt Place across the street.

This isn't a huge development but I noticed they are renovating the building connected to Dog Days where N Spring and Fisher Ave converge. Looks to me like they are gonna be 4 or so store fronts, but I could be wrong. Does anyone know what's going there?

I do not, but I can check, I know Marty is trying to connect Midtown to Downtown, He owns over 30 properties in midtown(explains the street art and murals) And I believe that’s why Roy put that self storage near that same area.

Only time will tell.

Good to hear. Kind of shocked that the deck won't be finished until early 2021??

I thought the same thing so I googled "how long does it take to build a parking garage" and the answer is 18 to 24 months.
