Why does Greensboro continue to build buildings without restaurants on the ground levels? Hotels and buildings all in a downtown setting should have stores and restaurants on the ground level In my opinion
The Hampton Inn above will have a ground level restaurant facing Greene St. according to renderings. It's a little difficult to see because of the grade of the land, though.
Project Slugger in downtown Greensboro. Construction will soon begin. This combined with Hyatt Place/Carroll at Bellemeade will create some nice density around the ballpark.
The city is building a parking deck across the street and Roy Carroll will build a mixed-use development around the deck
Not my photos, but I thought they were worth sharing here, as they show clearly the impact of Bellemeade on Downtown Greensboro. Can't wait to see Project Slugger getting built.
Yeah new minor league ballparks tend to serve as catalysts for significantly more development in an urban core when they are among the first anchors in the redevelopment of a downtown area.
