Fresh market is securing a long term lease with 300 North Greene plaza(Wells Fargo tower) for their HQ.
Two large offices will consolidate into one space, with an average salary of 86.000$ 53 new executive positions will also
be added, bringing total employment to 301, investing a total of 5.6 million dollars.
Greensboro and highpoint city leaders did an excellent job of securing this outcome!
Fresh Market joins a growing list of companies relocating to Downtown Greensboro.
Just maybe, Truist Mortgage might make that leap and move from the airport to downtown, Carroll’s new tower could make that a possibility but only time will tell.
All I can say is that its about time that high profile companies are moving downtown as oppose to airport locations or office buildings in other parts of the city. It started with Kontoor then Centric Brands and now the Fresh Market. Even though these companies aren't using LARGE amounts of office space downtown, I think this trend could lead to large office users which means downtown office development. Companies are realizing that downtown is the place to be as it should be. I'm sure we'll eventually see Truist Mortgage come downtown.

It’s a big possibility.
I’m still surprised that highpoint and Greensboro worked together like they did, I wish Greensboro and Winston could work together like that, that Winston joined the partnership with HP and GSO, it should be one well connected Triad.

High Point is definitely realizing this. Despite the headquarters staying in Greensboro they still ponied up incentives. Greensboro has also supported things that have gone to High Point. We are not Atlanta or Charlotte. So in order for us to compete we have to work together as a region and pull our resources together. I just wish there wasn't so much animosity between Greensboro and Winston-Salem. I think the Triad will go much further. This metro doesn't have a centralized city like Atlanta or Charlotte so city borders are meaningless here in the Triad when it comes to recruiting companies. The innovation quarter is in Winston-Salem but its a huge plus for the entire Triad. Same with the things that are located in Greensboro like PTI or Honda Jet. Greensboro and High Point are on the right track. Its time for Winston-Salem to join the pact.
