Saw the Screen is officially live at the performing arts center. Pretty eye catching at night.

Yeah it’s pretty cool, lights up the entire area at night.

The video board can be seen far south along Elm Street. I must say it really sets this place off. By comparison, DPAC in Durham has a much smaller video board installed on a monument sign on the ground.

Project Slugger (400 Bellemeade)

Jay Leno was just announced for the the Tanger center in march. Nice to see the "GPAC" attracting big names already.

Yes indeed. This venue will be home to a lot more than just Broadway Shows, it will host concerts, comedians and unique interactive shows like the Price is Right Live. But its great to see big names performing in downtown Greensboro.

I have heard from my reliable sources, that Novare Group is very interested in purchasing land near the ball park, honestly this is not the first time We’ve heard of such plans as a rumor Floating around in 2016 of a sky house being planned for Greensboro’s CBD, however that was only a rumor.

This time there were actual Novare Group representatives that allegedly met with some city leaders and Nancy Vaughn to discuss plans for a future location. But that is all I know so far.

A sky house Greensboro is definitely possible, downtown already has one residential high rise(center pointe condo tower) which has seen great success. As of now there are no units available, so there is definitely a demand for another residential high rise. And that ticks off a very important box, Demand.

The area is also very important, as the ball park area continues to grow with projects such as 400 Bellemeade and the currently under construction Carroll south development, these projects and others in close proximity such as Carroll at Bellemeade and the nearly complete Tanger Center, continue to bring more value to available land.

I really do think that this time a sky house is possible and it makes sense.

Westin Hotel, which will be on Elm Street and back into Davie Street, is stalled because crews found wiring and possibly another building underneath the ground.
An underground building!?
