First time going to the Festival on Friday evening, My friend and I enjoyed ourselves. Look forward to attending it next year. Looks like we were watching the same performance at the Old Courthouse Stage. That New Orleans Band was LOUD.
Yes they were but I will say the George Clinton performance had my hearing muffled for about a day. I was right up at the stage with the speaker blaring lol.
It honestly always bums me out a little to see something happening only to find out it's that block's third Starbucks vs at least something local. Even a local chain would be nice.
The building needs to be torn down. Build a Starbucks with apartments on top. What a wasted opportunity. This would never happen in Charlotte or Raleigh. Drive thrus should be banned downtown.

Normally I would agree with this, but given the pace and quality of recent projects in downtown GSO, this may be a better outcome as a short-term solution. It's better than having one of our local "developers" squatting on the land for a decade.
Lol. I knew it would happen. Lol.. I always said that would make a great Starbucks location and how I couldn't believe they haven't jumped on that prime location spot .. I'll still stick with my tate st coffee thou!!
