They bought the Hickory Points.

I'd suspect that you'll see alot of their smaller units being redone in the next few years. The Harrison Bridge Rd store is a good size, but down in Laurens, there's several of them that are just tiny.

I wonder if Dodge's Store on South Pendleton Street in Easley closed also.

Dodge's Store jumped on the cash discount program gimmick bandwagon a couple months ago. Even with the gimmick, other competitors were cheaper without the gimmick.

That's right. The few Palms stations were part of Hickory Point before HP was acquired by 7/11.

The Palms on Washington Ave and Easley Bridge Rd was officially rebranded as 7-11 last week.

I wonder what will happen to Hickory Point locations that are not up to standard with current stores or 7-Eleven standards. I know two Hickory Point stores in Inman (Spartanburg County) that need overhauling from the ground up.

A little outside the normal area of discussion here.. But Hickory Hills BBQ in Clinton closed on February 2nd.. That place was an institution in Clinton.. Been there ever since I can remember.

Edwin Watts Golf on Woods Crossing Road is closing Saturday, 15 March. The golf retailer filed for bankruptcy in November.
