I was told 7-11 bought out quite a few smaller local convenience store chains. Don't know if this is one of them.
They bought the Hickory Points.
I'd suspect that you'll see alot of their smaller units being redone in the next few years. The Harrison Bridge Rd store is a good size, but down in Laurens, there's several of them that are just tiny.
Dodge's in Taylors closed. I understand management walked in at 6:30 this morning to inform the employees. Sad. Makes me wonder if the property has been sold.

I wonder if Dodge's Store on South Pendleton Street in Easley closed also.
Dodge's Store jumped on the cash discount program gimmick bandwagon a couple months ago. Even with the gimmick, other competitors were cheaper without the gimmick.
The Palms on WH in Taylors, their receipts have 7-11 printed on them

I wonder what will happen to Hickory Point locations that are not up to standard with current stores or 7-Eleven standards. I know two Hickory Point stores in Inman (Spartanburg County) that need overhauling from the ground up.
A little outside the normal area of discussion here.. But Hickory Hills BBQ in Clinton closed on February 2nd.. That place was an institution in Clinton.. Been there ever since I can remember.
