Actually, anyone who is tired of wasting tax dollars was likely for it.

Cops, courts, jails, conviction records that limit employment opportunities, children needing tax-payer funded support while parent(s) are in prison, organized crime... the cost is outrageous and for what?

See who stands to profit and you'll see who's behind this nonsense.

Follow the money.

Ask anyone undergoing wicked chemo treatment or diagnosed with a painful, terminal illness how THEY feel.
I can answer for one who will never find his way to this forum. Pot makes it all better! What's so wrong with that? Are we such a mean society that we'd rather he suffer? Maybe if you saw the difference I see when he has some you'd want it legalized too!

Obviously it's not harmless, it's inhaling a hot plant into your ****ing lungs. Doesn't mean it's a problem if you don't approach it like an idiot, it should be an occasional treat rather than a daily habit.

Marijuana legalization won't be any different than tobacco legalization, a great source of revenue. And why would the government want to save people from themselves, in the first place? My guess, the government, itself, secretly, will be pushing for its legalization, as they need the money. And if you should die using it, no big deal, it'll be less burden on our entitlement programs.

The legalization of pot in CA failed the first time, and now look-y-see! The government is going to bat for it!

Depending on its usage, marijuana is as safe to take as tobacco, as they're both herbs. But cigarettes are another matter, they are indeed dangerous. But there's other safer ways of getting into your system, the nicotine: pipe smoking, cigars, sniffing it, chewing it, drinking it, chewing Nicorette gum.

There must be safer ways of consuming marijuana as well!
