Look into Panasonic countertop convection oven as well - they are excellent-could be had for a regular $99- or as low as $69.(exactly all the same functions except it does not have a “ slow cook- 10 hour function as Breville does)
As good or better as Breville at $249 otherwise.
I read that Panasonic was rated higher than the Breville. I do agree that people need to buy the thing that works best for them.
Another vote for the Breville countertop convection oven.
We just replaced our old Breville (given to us as a housewarming gift in 2002) with a new one about a month ago (the new one has a light inside, we picked the red color and it looks very nice!).
We were having some trouble with the start button on the old one but hey, after 17 years of use I think it held up very well otherwise.
I bought a little "C" table. It's perfect for using the laptop while I'm watching TV. It doesn't take up much room and it tucks away easily over a corner of the couch, when I'm not using it.
I got a neck and shoulder heating pad that I keep on my desk chair and use whenever I’m sitting down. I’m thinking of buying one with a massage feature as an upgrade. Anyone have a brand they love?
We finally got a Keurig. It replaces a regular coffeemaker and a Tassimo, which is hard to find cups for, and does not allow me to use my own coffee. Helloooo counter space.

I really do like the Breville though.
I have a Breville but I bought my son and daughter in law a Cuisinart countertop oven and it's great. They use it all the time. If my Breville ever bites the dust, I'm going to go with the Cuisinart at half the price!
