Implying that the silent majority of Conservatives who vote Republican are white supremacist Neo-Nazi racists is exactly why the silent majority of Conservatives will continue to win, silently. I can find the same type of radical drivel posted on a Black Lives Matter(racists), Occupy, Antifa, Nation of Islam (racists), or La Raza (racists) message board. What does it say about liberal Democrat voters that all these racist/hate groups align themselves with liberal Democrats?

Over the past several years, it has been very revealing while observing my liberal friends, family, and acquaintances lose their minds in political discussions with myself and other conservative friends, family, or acquaintances. I have realized nearly all liberals are incapable of healthy debate, listening to both sides, or accepting mutual disagreement. While conservatives could laugh and shake it off, I consistently observed liberals become more and more hysterical.

What started to happen is that we--the Conservatives--stopped engaging in political discourse with them. We started to ignore the drivel coming out of their faces, redirected the conversation, or just changed the subject. They wore "I Voted" stickers and proudly proclaimed their allegiance. We voted, passed on the sticker, and didn't say anything. They posted and argued on FB, IG, and the others. We didn't, many of us--myself included--even quit FB all together. They have BETO and Lizzie Fletcher signs in their yards. We don't have any signs in our yard.

The liberal media "They" (social and all mainstream) has vilified Conservatives. They say it is OK to hate, if its a Conservative that you hate. They've made bashing Conservatives their primary effort. They glorify the bashing, give it screen time, justify it, and attempt to make it sexy--to incite even more of it. They adulate liberals and Democrats, and chastise Conservatives and Republicans. And yet, despite the constant bashing, insults, vilification, and negativity, Conservatives have still won.
And they've won without being a majority. Do not forget that. In a democratic society, that can only go on for so long. But you're wrong about the media. They don't care one way or the other too much. CNN is happy Trump is president--they've gone to the left so that they can get ratings. They may have left leaning pundits, but those folks are not the network. The network is the calculators who have decided this is best for the time being. It's mainstream media that got Trump elected, and those guys making the big bucks for click and likes are happy about it. The stupidest thing they ever did for democracy was to start publishing Trump's tweets as news stories. I mean, he's already posted the tweets, but he starts getting double coverage? Who can argue with that? What a win for him. And the cycle of shock and horror and then being shocked yet again is a total feint driven by the mainstream media. We need to stop being shocked. This is a guy who actively has discussed how hot his own daughter is. There should be nothing shocking about him anymore--he's crossed all lines of civility and decency that any society has ever abided so don't play coy and pretend it's the liberals who are the transgressive ones here. You all are on the verge of embracing a kind of violence like we haven't seen in half a century, and then you pretend it's the liberals who are violent? What a predictable joke--accuse the other guy of the thing you are doing. It's called projection. Freud had y'all figured out a century ago!

You also have no clue what will happen before the election legislatively - the republicans don't need a single democrat to pass a tax cut bill - they can just do it. They could do it today. Idiots like the people on the today show just how their idiotic bias when they come out "fact checking" a speech with ZERO proof, and making predictions that have no more validity than Trump's assertion.

The fact you believe the tripe on the TV is shocking to me. Its one of the problems with our democratic republic - your vote counts as much as those who are informed.
I thought the new Republican mantra was innocent until proven guilty. The Congress is not in session. and will not be until Nov 13. No tax cut bill has been written. Ryan is telling callers to call the WH.

You are a bright person. Read up on dark money PACS. Soros is not near as much a supporter of political not for profits as Kochs. Mercers and Sheldon Adelson just go direct to candidates. They spend way more money on politics than Soros.

I'm not sure how much of this is love for Beto and how much is just anti-Ted sentiment. I don't envision turnout being much higher for Rafael Cruz than it would be normally. Conservatives will vote for their guy rain, sleet or shine...even if they don't really like him. Dems tend to rely more on being "likeable" which can help you win big but also get you beat. Just about any generic Democrat could have beaten Trump in '16 but Hilary wasn't likeable enough for many liberals and so she lost in places she wasn't expected to lose.

High turnout probably favors Beto. We shall see......

Exactly.

Hillary is so hated by white conservatives it's baffling. I think Doc Brown could go back and pick up ol Adolf circa 1942 and drop him back in 2016 and run him against Hillary and she would STILL lose. With the way it turned out any piece of slime would win....look at the orange piece that did

If you didn't know about Ted's character, you learned it last night. He goes from protecting Heidi from Trump's tweet and name calling to embracing the guy. Wow! Winning is much more important. Integrity? Meh nah

That's my main issue with him - this man went in on your wife in public. Your wife. All that "Leave Heidi alone!" stuff was just what was politically expedient at the time. Now allying with Trump is what's politically expedient, so that's what he does. Pitiful.

When you value power over everything, these are the results you get. I doubt that I'll ever respect him.

Exactly! I wasn't a fan but I do respect the hell out of him and his family (now the whole affair with Cindy and all that jazz....) but Trump was a piece of SLIME "I like people who didn't get captured" or whatever BS he said which he DID say folks. The creep said it. And McCain wasn't ready to make nice and didn't and neither did his family. Trump was excommunicated from those funeral services.

Now that's a grudge and intregity. When they go that freaking low, it's okay to not make nice to be PC.

In this nation, people who don't vote are in the majority. All the rest of us are just standing by for them to wake up.

Technically, they won without even a majority of the votes cast. And if you’re Republican you aren’t waiting for the nonvoters to vote, you’re trying to figure out how to suppress them. That tells us something about majority sentiment, doesn’t it? When the ruling party wants less people to vote, it’s probably because they know that public sentiment is against them.
