His absence has been addressed in other threads as well.

That's life on message boards; people come and go. Some come back, some don't.

City Data is a vast oasis of forums, take your pick! I participate in all sorts of forums, sometimes I'll start, alphabetically, with Alabama and peek into every state, city, to see what's going on in other areas of the country, what a long journey that can take, sometimes weeks to get to Wyoming! I do that maybe once or twice a year.

I can't recall what forum I was on, recently, and I bumped into Pinkstring, as I hadn't seen any postings by her in a long time.

And I've bumped into Las Vegas posters who totally ignore their State/city forums.

How I love walking through the lush green UNLV at night with my ferret, as I love architecture, and there's some really great architecture over there, just love Health Sciences Building, along with the Boyd Law Building and the Engineering Building. So peaceful and quiet, no one around between 3-5am. Lush green lawns are disappearing fast in this city, but they've still got them at UNLV and Hughes Corporate Center, which is like walking through a Park.

Nightshifter here, parks close at 10pm reopen at 6am, so I have to make do with those restrictions.

I have see you at both locations. Early riser walker is my lifestyle and UNLV campus is my walking area. Pass by Hughes park every morning on the way to work. Next time I will stop and say hi.

Interesting news this morning. Ivey, the poker pro, lost in court over his Baccarat win in NJ. Really strange decision. Says that the tactic used by Ivey was in keeping with the rules of Baccarat but violated the NJ gambling laws.

The Sun came out in favor of all five propositions. RJ opposed 1,2 and 4. Does not like gun check, pot, or making medical supplies tax exempt. Interesting in the face of a Cato report last month. The conservative think tank said it appears nothing much changes in pot legalization save a slight increase in tax revenue.

Hey, at least you're waking up to another great day in the wonderful city of Lost Wages, NV.

I sure wish there'd be more allowances for us night shift workers in this city, an estimated 24,000 of us.

I checked all the Early Voting sites and hours, and? They can't keep one of these voting sites open 24 hours?

I was at Albertson's Sunday, when they were setting up the voting machines, but not available until 9pm and I was there after work around 6:30am. I ran into another frustrated night shift worker who was equally puzzled as to why we couldn't vote then rather than come back at 9am.

Well, I did foolishly return at 9am and with the long line I left.

I'll just wait until Election Day, as I recall the voting site at Winchester opens quite early around 7am, but I could be wrong.

You could vote via absentee ballot, tijlover. That's how I voted for the last election. Now remember, the election is on November 28th.

Too funny!
I forgot to mention that I also had a computer science teacher who looked like Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. And no, he didn't give out any ice cream. This was back in 82 and 83; years before Ben & Jerry's.
