How do you do that?
  • quarantine those who test positive
  • enforce social distancing and wearing masks
  • use contact tracing to identify hot spots
  • monitor air travelers health who are entering the country

The problem is that we can't even get the selfish pigs in this country to reliably wear a mask so yeah it will probably never go away.
Then get used to it, or live in your basement.

You may also want to notice that Taiwan is an island and much smaller than Europe and NA. They also didn’t beat it and can still get a breakout.

Try again.
30,000 in a year vs 119,000 dead in 4 months for Covid. And people who get the influenza vaccine don't usually die from influenza Maybe you should try again?

You won't do this to save 30,000 lives? How about 61,000 lives? https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/2017-2018.htm

Selfish.

Got it. You have 'great' advice for the Covid-19 virus and call other people selfish who don't follow it but you don't want to follow that same 'great' advice to prevent the death of seasonal flu folks. 61,000 just 3 years ago.

I ate out at a restaurant last night, I just got back from the gym and will be heading to another restaurant shortly. I didn’t wear a mask during any of these activities but did wear one as requested when coming in.
I also have a vacation planned to Hilton Head and I likely won’t wear a mask on the beach.
Color me selfish.

Masks stop droplets, sprays and fluids. They do not stop tiny airbourne bacteria and viruses

You beat me to it.

Respirators protect you from breathing bad stuff in, but not bad stuff out.
There’s a reason why there are more than one kind of masks.

Cloth masks are the equivalent to wearing lifts in your shoes, you may feel better with them but you’re still short. In other words don’t really do anything.
