Probably increased:
-Cost of maintaining the buildings didn’t go away
-Next will be technology needed for teachers & students to homeschool
-Additional funding will be needed to keep the school bus companies from going out of business. For when/if they ever do open.
When/If opened:
- Every inch of these busses & schools will need to be sanitized after every sneeze & cough.
- PE equipment
The list goes on. These are not my beliefs. Just how these politicians think to suck an additional dime out of tax payers.
You also forgot to mention, teacher/administrator salaries/benefits haven’t changed one bit.

Nobody is giving back those contracted raises either. Better to fire the younger and technologically savvy teachers than infringe any benefits of an older teacher who can’t even get Zoom working.
You work for a district now, or just pulling more bunk from the recesses of your azz? Cuomo mandated face to face spec ed summer schools. While the covid science challenged wankers run 90 pages of idiocy on LICD, custodians are working double time figuring out how to meet the mandate from your favorite uncle, Andy C., disinfecting, moving furniture, taping directional lines, installing sanitizing and hand wash stations, trying to score FEMA locked up PPE, etc. Busses are also running, at 3x labor due to 1/3 capacity. Not to mention, summer construction at the schools is a regular and that hasn't changed. 12 month employees are chugging along with no guidance from dear Pres Lardbutt (nice interview w/ Fox by the way, glad he can recognize a pic of an elephant, he's actually got better cognition than I thought) or Lord Andy. Ahh, what's the use injecting reality into the dark wave fantasies of right wing freaks.
Well put.... This is exactly what's happening. The summer work is going on at the same time school for the essential workers kids is taking place. New equipment being trained and a much stricter cleaning regiment. Fun times.

Adjust URL to get daily increases as well as total death number.
(FWIW - On average about 33 people per day die of all causes in Suffolk County)

Two doubly false narratives will be at play till the election (and beyond when he wins):
1. Covid-19 is the US Apocalypse and it is Trump's fault (plus his supporters deny science and want to kill Grandpa)
2. America is thoroughly racist and it is Trump's fault (plus his supporters are privileged white supremacists)
