There you have it! The “Agenda” narrative!

Why blame Trump, it's not like he's President or anything. We all knew he was incompetent to start. No one is surprised he ultra-fooked a rough situation into a global embarrassment. It's what he does best. Embarrassing things. So much embarrassment. Denial and blame aren't really "strategies,", ya know.

What more could have Trump done? Be specific. There is precious little he could do at the federal level beyond what he already did. At the state level, it was in the hands of people like Gov. Greaseball, who still got everything he demanded from Trump, in spite of it being unnecessary and going to waste. Trump has the task force and the briefings, he's promoting the efforts to the vaccine (which will likely never come or be moot by the time it's finished), he stopped the inbound international flights, and much after that, it's out of his hands!

It sounds more like you have internalized the frame of outlets like CNN who are insisting that Trump doesn't care about the virus, with zero evidence indicating that. And for every boomer who is terrified of dying and being permanently separated from his RV and cheesy McMansion that gets isolated by Trump "not doing enough," you have two small business owners who are staring down the barrel of bankruptcy if they're forced to be locked down for longer who are not going to be very receptive to Trump insisting that state govts pull up on the reopening process.

He has to thread a microscopic needle with a frayed piece of twine - he's going to **** off people no matter what. The true error here is people attributing the success or failure of America's ability to contain and overcome the coronavirus to Trump at all. The virus coming to the United State is not a result of something he did or didn't do. It's the result of Chinese negligence or malice, overcrowded cities, entire sections of our society that place minimal importance on health or hygiene, and that weird, double-edged sword of an independent streak that Americans have that has allowed us to conquer the world but also makes us get a little irritated at anyone suggesting we need to take precautions when a pandemic is taking root. There is very little Trump could have done differently with regards to the coronavirus and implying that there is is just accepting the false narrative constructed by a vindictive and dishonest media in a critical election year.

While Trump has done his fair share if some questionable things, I am more than stunned that the Democratic party could not come up with a better challenger than Joe Biden. I am even more stunned that the family, who must know he is suffering some sort of cognitive memory problem, didn't stop his run. The Democrats can thank their lucky stars for the Coronavirus because if the economy were still purring along and there were no virus, Trump would have made mince meat out of Joe in a nano second. Now we have a horse race.

Honestly, I am a registered Independent but given the last 4 years, I would happily vote for Mickey Mouse over DJT in November. This is what happens when one elects a reality TV show clown for the presidency, a circus. Given how the US is now devolving into a 3rd world country based on its **** poor response to the virus and inability to follow the pandemic guidelines set up decades ago by prior administrations, it is really no surprise that Covid19 was just the last straw breaking the camel's back.

Quite a lot actually. He didnt read his briefings, or if he did- completely disregarded them. There were 6 weeks between the time the WHO/CDC was alerted that a deadly virus was circulating out of China and the US took action. Trump denied it all initially, calling it a "hoax". The WHO was in bed w/ the Chinese since the start as they were complacent initially and didnt start to call out the CCP/China on their lies that it was "contained" until it was already too late. Given the cascade of errors, the US administration just sat by and observed when immediate action was warranted. When the CDC finally took notice of the gravity based on Italy's numbers in February- the Trump administration still continued to dither away precious time and squabbling over how CDC officials were afraid to act because they didnt want to anger Trump or risk losing their jobs. You can't run an effective team based response when 3/4 of the team feel that saying anything that angers their boss (POTUS) means public humilation or being told "you're fired". And now you have Trump going after Fauci and claiming he has said "wrong things".

You ask what more could Trump have done? A lot more - beginning with actually taking a strong leadership position as Asia/Europe looked at us to take action and set an example. Starting with going on TV wearing a mask and imploring Americans "please wear a mask because this is a virus spreading primarily via the nose and mouth". This is basic common sense !! BUT NO, He looked at as "well this is an attack on my presidency". Oh and lets not forget how he pushed states to compete against each other to buy PPE from overseas suppliers!! The federal government response has been ABYSMAL. The virus doesnt care about state lines! But as we have now seen time and time again, DJT doesnt lead from the top, he leads from behind. You see him now wearing a mask, when months ago he wouldnt be caught dead wearing one. He only moved the Tulsa rally on a different day because he didnt even know about Juneteenth and only changed the date based on media backlash, not because he actually cared about that day. So what more could have done? Believing SCIENTISTS and the FACTS as a start would have been nice!!!!!

Too bad less than 48% of America owns stocks or has a 401k.
