Here's some 3-D renderings that give an idea of what Nashville will look like in a few years with the projects currently proposed and under construction.

I'm already pretty impressed with the skyline, e.g.

It will be very interesting to see some new great photography circa 2020 and 2025. The 3D renderings are very neat for visualization purposes, but lack a little bit of the oomph.

The Swiss financial giant UBS is taking over another floor in its downtown tower (formerly the Regions Tower) so it can grow its workforce by 200, from 1,528 to 1,728. This is definitely good news for downtown Nashville.

Nashville developer Southeast Venture is pursuing a giant mixed-use project that would inject upwards of 600 residential units into The Nations.

Like so many neighborhoods in Nashville's red-hot real estate boom, it's an understatement to say The Nations is "fast-growing." The sheer scale of this particular project marks the most ambitious bet yet in the West Nashville neighborhood's revitalization — and it signals that the budding interest from homebuyers, popular restaurants, craft breweries and real estate investors is spiking to a whole new level.

"The Nations has been found," said Wood Caldwell, a principal at Southeast Venture. "The neighborhood association is very organized ... and they're saying they want 51st (Avenue North) to become another 12South. People are excited we're changing industrial back to residential."
