You need to be mean, angry, and rude in order to take over the country...just ask the residents of South Park.

There are more people here - just wait a few hundred years of population growth. A lot more people will act the same way when you're up in each others' faces all the time. We also seem to be on tighter/faster paced schedules than the rest of the world. Some days it seems like every minute not asleep is managed by someone/something else. Boss, commute, appointments, chores.

I really jealously guard the time I want to 'share' and that includes people intruding into my head space. If I'm enjoying a few pleasant Island Beach State Park thoughts, mentally finding a little bliss, while someone with that sappy happy gleam is desperately trying to get my attention - I think they might call me rude. I need my mental health so just consider a small degree of rudeness -- though I am probably "curt" rather than truly rude - - as your contribution to better living without chemistry. I'm sitting in the yard with the crickets - that pit bull on guard duty is just doing their job..

I take NJTransit from Penn Station.

North NJers that take the Bergen lines are always pushing, shoving, running, and always blocking others.

Central and Southern NJ Transit lines aren't as crazy except for those that are going to Trenton.

Mama says it's because they got all them teeth and no toothbrush! Unlike in South Jersey where they have no teeth and no toothbrush, so it balances out and people are happy

There are pleanty of 'fake nice' people right here in Jersey-it's so easy to spot it when some one is being fake. It's incredibly annoying.

C'mon down to Southwestern NJ home (with a good percentage) of the fake niceness and two-faced people with no word.

North Jersey (as I resided there for 50 plus years) has it but to me the last 23 months down here has proven this region imo to be "the winner".

There aren't any Main and Bergen line trains from Penn Station.

To answer the OP, NJ is just very dense population wise and there are many different cultures as well as recent immigrant groups. This all makes for a lot of conflict. Contrast=conflict...that's my opinion, anyway.

It's the folks that are rushing for any Secaucus trains and transferring for the Bergen line, the Montclair line train passengers are insane though they never stand in one spot at Penn Station and scatter all around when they announce the gate there is huge mad dash converge towards that gate and the worst is when they announce other train departures and you got this big congestion of people crossing through people.

I'd say it's because people are pushed further here than almost anywhere else in the country. Overpopulation, a rushed way of life, high taxes, filth, guidos, etc. cause the attitude problems described.
