It takes some grade A tools. I suggest finding someone that can do it for you, not maint. Task Rabbit offers such services.

and thats sucks that you have a neighbor who doesnt respect quality of life. I recommend to get sound proofing
I know nothing about sound proofing an apartment but I will definitely do some online research. Can you post what you did exactly and what you used to sound proof your apartment?

Yeah...its a small 8oz jar from Home Depot of Behr Premium Plus, Flat Ultra Pure White UL 200. My only issue with it is the strong odor.

Thank you, so this is why the slightest touch leaves marks. Can this be painted over in the future?

Hmm...thats interesting. Yesterday I saw one of the construction workers covered in paint leaving an adjacent apartment they were still working on and I asked what paint they used on our apartments and they said Sherwin Williams. Just looking at the walls and corners you can see where they painted over the sheet rock and left some splatters of white paint on the edges of the fuse box on the wall. I dont know much about construction but I thought sheet rock/ drywall had to be painted over. Perhaps its just primer?

One time he lowered the music after someone came up to give him a warning, then turned the music right back up after they left.

I've also been waking up every morning to drilling sounds above me & outdoor maintenance guys with loud walkie talkies. It's almost been unbearable which just forces me to wake up earlier in the mornings. Drilling sounds begin around 6am. Maintenance guys in the hallways are all hours in the mornings. I'm pretty disappointed at the sound proofing...
Oy! You wouldnt happen to be on the 8th floor now would you? There are some neighbors who def blast music and I love music but I dont wanna hear everyone elses lol...glad to hear front desk is addressing them. Hopefully it settles down soon.
