HDC? No, if MHANY f***s up my application one more time, I'm contacting the better business bureau.

And right after that, the local news channels. I'm sure they'd be all over a story about how inept the affordable housing process can be.

No, I mean beyond appeals, as in the post a few days ago from someone whose income was calculated incorrectly and the apt was not affordable, and won't be able to take it. But yes, also thankful for a forum to communicate. So helpful to be able to share info and resources. A friend of mine who won the lottery a few years ago told me about these forums, otherwise I might never have found it.

Understandable. I just viewed the apartment today. Superb views. Very fresh and modern looking wasn't allowed to take photos of it . Even with the viewing it's still no guarantee. They are going through the approval process at the moment I was told.

I went in today today too, but they let me take pictures. Wonder why they wouldn't let you. Agree that the building and views are great. They did say there are only about 24 units occupied right now, a mix of market and lottery folks. Still lots to be assigned it seems, so that's good!

Coma, weirdly specific question: was your potential unit above the 19th floor? I know they don't have C of O for 20 and up, but I wondered if they were assigning people units there ahead of time.

Please share this info. Where are these magical affordable areas?
Give me your budget and I will find you affordable housing in many parts of the country. Me throwing out random places and examples wouldn't matter much, would it?

Hey Knight, I was curious about this too. I asked and they told me that there are no units occupied above the 14th floor currently. (The one I viewed was below that.) They're still working on the upper floors. Even the unit I viewed was still having minor finishing touches done.
